If you're new here, let me catch you up. Six months ago, I started a new entrepreneurial venture aimed at improving B2B sales performance. I documented all our process of launching Leadbay in this substack.
Over the course of six months, I had the opportunity to learn a lot about this market by interacting with 200 EURO-US B2B Sales. I identified our problem and teamed up with the engineers and sales veterans to solve it. Our manifesto is the perfect occasion to bring you up to speed and kickstart this new venture together.

We’re Milan and Ludo from Leadbay.
We’ve developed Leadbay—an AI companion for B2B sales teams prospecting in the field. The app is powered by a domain-specific AI model we’ve developed to remove the guesswork from prospecting. We’ve trained a multi-modal system of knowledge, merging exhaustive market data, internal company knowledge (CRM, ERP, CSV), and reps' instincts together—with the capability to predict who will be your next customers.
By focusing on traditional sales teams (80% of the B2B sales population), Leadbay lets them benefit from sales intelligence without the costs of data providers, growth, SDR, and data science teams.
Today, reps use the Leadbay web app to score their pipeline, generate new leads, and explore new market clusters—ensuring they always focus on the most likely-to-buy leads in their market.
The companies is backed by sales veterans from Google, Microsoft; Station F and the US-EU fund Inovexus.
Origin story & founders
Milan, with 15 years of experience in AI—including a PhD from Sorbonne University, 60+ publications, and two companies founded on leveraging information-poor data for AI—joins Ludo, who brings a background, network, and passion for traditional B2B sales.
Reuniting in 2023, they build on Ludovic’s community of 200 early users addressing underserved B2B sales use cases. Together with a skilled team in engineering, product design, and AI R&D, they create unique AI models and tools to enhance every step of the B2B sales prospecting workflow. Their ambition is to create a center of excellence on B2B Sales-related AI.
Problem
Reps are drained, wasting 70% of their time on leads that will never close.
It’s hard to identify companies in their target addressable market.

Desperate to solve this problem, B2B sales teams work with inadequate solutions:

Data providers (Clay, Apollo, ZoomInfo, Cognism, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator) require extensive internal expertise (data scientists, engineers, and SDR teams) to transform quantity into quality,
AI-native agents (such as AiSDR, Oneshot, 11x, Artisan, and Topo) offer quantitative reasoning to qualify leads, but they’re ill-suited for traditional teams that start from incomplete data, are prospecting information-poor leads and rely on in-person interaction.

Our users
Leadbay first niche are sales teams prospecting in the field and selling physical goods or services to brick-and-mortar companies. Most of these teams are wholesalers serving construction companies, wholesalers for hotels and restaurants, and insurance providers.
About 80% of B2B sales teams conduct some form of field sales. Large sales teams prospecting in the field (50+ reps) account for 30% of the B2B sales workforce and economy.
